Calendula in Feed Company fabrics

This quilt was designed in 2018 out of necessity - I had two charm packs of an out-of-print Sweetwater line and a little bit of yardage...with a little math, I had Calendula on the cutting table!

(Well, in 2018 this quilt was called My Tribe, if you've been with me that long!)

Fast forward to 2024 and this pattern has undergone some massive changes - we expanded the pattern to include five sizes, added another variation that uses only two colors, and then added in a beginner-friendly modification to the pattern as well!

Quilted by Abby Latimer of Latimer Lane Quilting in Bread Basket - one of my favorite long-arm pantos!

Frustratingly, my background in this version turned different colors after a wash - I learned the hard way why you shouldn't mix whites from different bolts, even if they are the same manufacturer and color. I only have these few photos of this version and plans to turn the original into totes bags. Waste not :)

Regardless, I still love this farmhouse version that shows once again how easily this pattern can turn from modern to traditional with your fabric choices.

Happy sewing!
