Jolie - Ruby Star Society baby version

Jolie - Ruby Star Society baby version

There's a reason why you see a lot of baby Jolie quilts in my portfolio - it's so fast and easy to make, yet is so darn cute!! This is another one I've made with a white background and I love the contrast with the bold prints.

This quilt was part of a sew-my-stash effort. The strips were all from Liana by Kimberly Knight and most of the triangles are from Alma. There are a few black pieces from Modern Backgrounds Luster thrown in for contrast.

The backing is Shannon Fabrics cuddle minky in silver. I'm getting more confident sewing with minky on my home machine - lots of practice and spray baste! It's so perfect for baby quilts it's been worth the learning curve.

I used a black Gingiber fabric from my stash for the binding. I stocked up on this a long time ago and forgot what a fun binding pattern it makes!

This quilt is in my shop as a ready-to-ship item - we still use our baby quilts this size for lap blankets in the car seats, stroller, wagons, etc. It's a great size to have around even for our preschooler.

My goodness do I love this pattern.
