Jolie in Kona solids
Oh hey Jolie! This pattern is the first one to get a fresh face for The June Thimble - solids edition! We're working this year to transform all our pattern cover quilts into solid samples. Why? Well it gives us a chance to play creatively in new ways and gives our covers a timeless sample. We can't wait to play with this idea more!
For this sample we used 14 fat quarters of all Kona solids on Kona White background:
- Midnight
- Purple
- Bright Periwinkle
- Amethyst
- Lavender
- Lilac
- Orchid
- Blueberry
- Storm
- Blue Bell
- Evening
- Cloud
- Cadet
- Grapemist
We chose a Shannon Cuddle 3 minky in Elderberry for the backing and Cait quilted it with a large stipple stencil from Hancy Creations. (We love their chalk and stencil tools for our non-computerized long-arm!)
Cait had so much...ahem...help with this one. The kittens just could not resist it.
We'll be showing this quilt at various shows and shops this summer - though it's hard not to squirrel it off for a cup of tea and couch nap.
