Grow Wild in Kona solids

When we initially pulled this fabric...Cait and I paused. Whoa. That's....bold. We waffled...and decided to lean in and trust the process. And we are SO glad we did!

Friends, meet the Fruit Punch quilt! Or fruit snacks? Popsicles? Fruit salad? This quilt gives us major summer vibes with it's explosion of color! We love that it catches your eye, the movement in the sashing, and the big bold happy colors. Personally, my favorites are the pops of purple and orange.

We used quarter yards of Kona Cerise, Berry, Sangria, Plum, Foxglove, Pomegranate, Watermelon, Punch, Crush, Poppy, Coral, Nectarine for the prints, and Sangria for the sashing. While we were at it, we updated the pattern to use quarter yards so you can too!
Grow Wild is listed as an intermediate pattern, but a confident beginner could tackle it. It's designed to be a next step pattern after it's sister quilt, Wild Soul. This quilt uses an in-process block from that pattern and introduces sashing built within the block - a design we like to use often.

Cait quilted a large stipple with a Shannon Cuddle 3 minky back in Rosewater - the perfect light lavender to balance the bold front. We do all our own quilting on our Bernina Q24 long-arm using chalk and stencils - Cait has perfected this stipple so we use it on many of our professional samples.

We're excited to have this quilt up as a part of a local trunk show at Sew to Speak in Columbus as well as headed to a few Ohio quilt markets this year! If she catches your eye across the room please come say hello!

Happy sewing!

Rebecca
