Calendula in Little Miss Sunshine

It's been such a joy revisiting some of these quilts from the archives of RebaLeigh while we refresh and expand these patterns! This sweet baby Calendula quilt was made for my second niece, before I had my own babies.

I don't have many  photos of this quilt, and that that sweet babe is now a lovely, wonderful six year old. (Hooooooow?!) But this was one of the first versions of Calendula that was made and still such a cute project.

I made this with a Little Miss Sunshine charm pack by Lella Boutique and a white moda Bella solid background. The chain is a Cotton and Steel basic and backed with a cute print from Bonnie and Camille's Vintage Picnic line - I was far from being able to quilt minky at this stage in the game!

I was learning to quilt on my own machine around this time and was pretty happy with how the straight lined design turned out on this one.

What a lovely trip down memory lane! We have loved refreshing and remaking this pattern and are thrilled to offer so many more options in the re-launched pattern!

Love that post-wash crinkle!

Happy sewing,

Rebecca and Cait
